Meet Ronan
Ronan Sweeney MRIAI MCIAT is a Chartered Architect and Chartered Architectural Technician with a passion for creating exceptional spaces that blend design integrity with buildable practicality.
Having first qualified as an Architectural Technician before going on to become a Chartered Architect, Ronan brings a uniquely balanced mix of technical expertise and design creativity to every project. His early experience on construction sites has given him an instinctive understanding of how buildings come together — from the first sketch to the final screw — and this hands-on knowledge underpins every aspect of his architectural approach.
As Principal of RSDS Architects, Ronan leads a team specialising in high-end residential, equine, and commercial design across Ireland. His work is defined by a contemporary yet contextual style — one that respects setting, craft, and detail while delivering modern comfort and lasting elegance.
A former inter-county Gaelic footballer and coach, Ronan draws from his sporting background a strong sense of teamwork, discipline, and commitment to excellence. Those same values shape his practice: collaborative, driven, and focused on delivering the highest standards of design and execution.
At the heart of RSDS Architects lies a client-centred philosophy — each project is approached as a partnership, balancing creativity with practicality to deliver sustainable, enduring architecture that reflects the individuality of every client and place.
