Donnybrook Extension/ Full Architectural Service
Dublin's refined family home
Situated on one of Dublin’s most exclusive roads, this project transforms a part single-storey, part two-storey dwelling into a refined family home. RSDS Architects designed a symmetrical double-gabled extension, creating a striking yet contextually sensitive addition. The formality of the central entrance enhances the home’s presence, while the material palette—brick, natural stone, timber, and slate—references the surrounding architectural heritage.
The extension maximizes internal space, adding additional bedrooms while redefining the ground-floor living areas. Inside, high-end finishes, including detailed timber panelling, create a sense of timeless sophistication. A south-facing kitchen, living, and dining space forms the heart of the home, where expansive glazing floods the interior with natural light and seamlessly connects to the landscaped gardens.
This project exemplifies RSDS Architects' expertise in balancing tradition and modernity, delivering a meticulously crafted, high-end home that complements its prestigious setting while offering contemporary elegance.
