Situated on an exclusive avenue in Co. Kildare, this project involved the complete overhaul of a traditional "Bungalow Bliss" home to meet the contemporary needs of its new owners. RSDS Architects reimagined the residence, starting with relocating the main entrance to a central position, enhancing both balance and flow.

The original integrated garage was replaced with a sleek, rectangular extension set perpendicular to the existing structure, creating distinct zones within the home. A striking zinc-clad entrance now divides the original building from the new addition, introducing a modern aesthetic.

Inside, the extension houses a double-height living area illuminated by clerestory windows, fostering an airy ambiance. A mezzanine above the kitchen offers additional functional space while maintaining openness.

Large sliding glass doors and expansive windows strengthen the connection between interior spaces and the mature surrounding landscape, facilitating seamless indoor-outdoor living.

This transformation exemplifies how dated homes can be revitalized into architecturally pleasing, functional spaces.
